Pearls and Lace, My Favorites!

Tuesday, May 2, 2023

 Hello Everyone!

Hope you are all doing well!

This spring has been wild.  I've been praying for you

all as the weather moves through the nation.

It's still cool here, but I know that's not going to

last much longer!

We had a new addition to our family last fall.

A GRANDDAUGHTER!!

She is a delight, and her personality is amazing.

I know that in the future she will rule the roost, and

that her 2 older brothers will be totally shocked at

what she gets away with!!!

I've spent my time, when not with them, working on

junk journals!  I love paper, and making books,

working with beautiful digital kits, and the delight of

a journal that is complete.  Though to be honest, I've

 only completed a few!!!

I truly hope that you are all doing well and that your weather will be calm and lovely for the rest of the spring.  Praying for you and wishing you all the best!

Another Yearly Update!

Hello everyone!   I really hope this finds you doing well, and

staying dry while the rains continue from Hurrican Ian.

I've been praying for Florida and the people in the path of this

storm.  It's so hard to know exactly what to pray but that

God will protect you and your property.  He has a plan, I don't know

what that is, but I KNOW HE DOES!

My heart is with you.

And yes, I've been there before.

We are expecting a new grandchild soon, a girl this time!

So exciting!  We've been thinking our 2 grandsons were

all we would  have, and then a huge surprise to everybody!

Technology is amazing!  Look at the perfection of what God is creating!

And this was a few weeks ago.

I've drifted back to making kits for my planners again.
Working with floral digitals is a delight (when Silhouette Studio works),
and then putting pretty sticker kits in my planner to decorate is just
a huge bunch of fun.
My junk journal table is still sitting there, waiting for when my attention
changes and my whims for papers bursts out again.  I still go over and
sit and think, "Am I ready to make another journal?" And the
feeling passes.  So I know, not yet!

I hope the crafting bug hasn't left you.  It seems sometimes that I have a desire to craft, and other times, even for months, I have no desire at all to be creative.  That's Okay.  There are so many other things to do, like reading, etc.  So I hope you are happy and healthy.

Take care and God Bless YOU!!!

Hello Out There!

Just wanted to add an update for anyone who might be looking at this blog again.  I have been basically not posting on here at all for the last few years.  Mostly I've been doing YouTube videos and using Instagram for my social media sharing.

But last year, almost exactly a year ago, with all the changes in our world and our lifestyles, I decided to give my social media platforms a rest.  No videos, and very little sharing on IG.

But I'm fine, still crafting, and having so much fun in my basement craft room, without the pressure of being socially and politically 'correct'.  Because I'm not.  I'm just striving to be BIBLICALLY correct!!!

My  husband and I celebrated (at home), our 17th anniversary in June, and though we've changed a lot over the years, we are so blessed to have this time together.

Our 2 grandsons have grown a lot, and we are hoping to be able to see them more often next year.  They are such precious boys!

I was looking through my photos and some comments from years ago on here, and it was such a lovely feeling to reconnect with y'all.  I have really missed posting and hosting.  Pink and Cream and Pearls and Lace are still my favorites!

Hope each of you are doing well, staying healthy, and that God bless you all.
Love,
Doni

Yes, It's Been a While!

So much has happened since my last post!
I will try my best to do a catch up!

First, there's another little grandson to love!
Welcome our newest!

He's a sweetheart!!!
And he may already be about 3 months old now, but this
was me holding him for the first time!

2 days before Tropical Depression Imelda!~!

My daughter-in-law holding our eldest grandson in the back
of their pickup truck. See how high the water was then?
It got up to 58 inches high in their house.
(Hurricane Harvey they flooded up to the 52 inch mark.)
Unreal.  I was there, holding the then 3 week old grandson while the
waters rose.  My son brought in his canoe, and we put as much as possible
in it along with the baby in his carseat (me holding him whiteknuckled), and the
dog.  Don't try putting a dog in a canoe in a flood.

Everyone was safe, rescued by boats, and very helpful strangers who risked
their lives to save us.  I am so thankful!

So, I got home finally a few weeks later, and have been busy!

I've been making clips for my planners, crocheting projects, and having fun doing it all!

It's also been a sad year, for we in this blogger community lost a dear lady,
Miss Hazel A. to cancer.
I hate cancer.
But I love each of you who are battling it.
I pray for you!

May you each have a wonderful rest of the year, and may
2020 bring you God's blessings.

Love, Doni

What a Joy!

Our grandson has now reached his first birthday, and watching him grow into a boy has been such a blessing!

His character is developing, and he has such a cute way of expressing himself!  He loves books too, so hopefully he will be a lover of learning.

I've been busy lately working on my planning, and making YouTube videos. If you're interested in what I do on YouTube, check out my link in the sidebar, or click here to take you to my channel.

I hope spring is beautiful where you are and that each of you are doing well!

Blessings,

It's Been a While!

Hi there everyone! I know it's been a long time since I last posted here. First I started having problems with my tablet being unable to upload photos, and getting photos from my phone to my big computer takes forever. Second, I got busy with making videos and had so much I wanted to catch up with that it started to overwhelm me. I have finally decided that if it stresses me out, it's too much. So, I stepped away from all social media sharing in December, and have slowly started back this week.

Little by little I made the decision to step back from blogging and do more with videos. So if you're still interested to see what I'm doing, please visit my You Tube channel, Doni H
Located also in my sidebar.

Let me thank you all for your support and comments and friendship. I'm still available and still crafting, so visit me on You Tube!

                  You are all so wonderful!
                        Blessings and Hugs,
                                    Doni
