Pearls and Lace Thursday #91 Cloche of Thread, Dress Form, and Roses

I looked all over the house for a clear bowl, or tray, or SOMETHING that would hold all of the tatting thread from my post a few weeks ago (here), and this is what I found:

The huge bell shaped glass cloche that I have in the kitchen.  Well, not anymore...
But, I think the combination of the threads in the upside down cloche are beautiful!
THEN, I had to have something that would HOLD the upside cloche..
again through the house trying this or that piece, and I found the cobalt blue jar.
Originally with a lid, but now perfect for holding a cloche full of thread!

This dress form is a decopauge piece that I made last year and shared with y'all here.
It is made up of printed pictures from my blog, printed on cardstock, spritzed water and with distress ink, and then torn.  I gently adhered the pieces to the form with Mod-Podge while still damp, then allowed it to dry thoroughly.  After it was dry I covered the whole thing with 2 coats of Mod-Podge, allowing it to dry overnight between coats.
Can you see pictures of my violin?  Roses?  Hand painted china??

These roses are from a bush we've had for years.  My sweet husband dug it up 4 1/2 years ago when we moved and planted it along with 3 others at our current home.  It has produced some of the loveliest roses I've ever seen!  If I'm not mistaken, they are either the Peace rose or one called Gemini.

I've been so blessed to find some interesting pieces lately and I can't wait to share them with you!
Be looking for some new posts showing my new pink etched mirror that I found yesterday!!
The picket fence with all the perfect chippy paint in the background of the pictures today is another find...

It's time for Pearls and Lace Thursday!!
Add the url code from your post's code, not the code from your blog please.

Be looking for giveaway from me soon...It has almost been 2 years since I started blogging, and with 500 followers now, well, it's TIME!!
May you all have a beautiful rest of the week!
Doni

The way you did your tatting thread is so attractive, but I REALLY like what you did with your dress form. I am tempted to do it to mine. It would look a heck of a lot more attractive than the red it is now. I love that you used copied of the pictures you have used on your blog. Such a nice post. genie

What a beautiful dress form! I love the idea of making a mosaic on it!

Your roses are so pretty! It will be a long time before we have any roses...our warm March turned to a cold and not nice April and our flowers have not done well....Oh, well there is summer coming!
Your pastel threads in a cloche looks like a bowl of candies!
HPS!
